Reed Farrell Coleman

Reed Farrel Coleman Weekend November 4 & 5

Meet Reed Farrel Coleman, award winning author of the Gus Murphy Series and Robert B. Parker’s Jesse Stone Series and raise funds for the Effingham Public Library Building Fund at two very different events. Our Friday night reception gives you the opportunity to meet and talk with Reed at a relaxed social event. Saturday, will be a more traditional book reading and signing.

Both events are ticketed, and we recommend purchasing in advance as numbers attending will be limited to allow attendees to meet Coleman. All events take place at Effingham Public Library, 200 North Third St. Effingham, IL 62401

Featured Artist: Al Shouse

Effingham Public Library is pleased to welcome local artist, Al Shouse. A retired Effingham resident, Al has not had professional training in art, but instead became interested in art when he was young. His mother encouraged his art by telling him that she thought he was able to see details that the rest of the family didn’t see, so he continued to keep trying to improve.

Al’s art revolves around scenes that he wants to remember: barns, that have since been torn down; horses, a long time family love; and relaxing places. All of his artwork was created as a gift to leave to his grandchildren. For decades creating art has been an enjoyable, relaxing hobby that Al enjoys.
