Helen Matthes Library Board of Directors Meeting Minutes November 26, 2007 A special meeting of the Helen Matthes Board of Directors was held November 26, 2007 in the basement meeting room of the library. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm. Physically present for roll call were the following members: Bob Willenborg, Gloria Bauer, Jeff Weis, Dave Seiler, Karen Luchtefeld, Dana Keller, Rod Wiethop and Ellen Welton. Absent was member Jeanna Hook. Present from library staff were Amanda Standerfer and Johnna Schultz. Weis states that the purpose of the meeting is to choose a PR firm for the referendum. Motion is made at 6:02 by Willenborg to move the session to executive session to discuss property and personnel issues pursuant to sections 2(c)(1) and 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act. Second made by Bauer, all aye, no dissent. Weis asks for a motion to form a Political Action Committee to be called Effingham Citizens for Life Long Learning. Willenborg makes the motion. Second made by Seiler, all aye, no dissent. Willenborg makes a motion to empower Standerfer to hire Intermark as our PR firm when appropriate. Second made by Seiler, all aye, no dissent. Motion to adjourn made by Wiethop, second by Weis, all aye, no dissent. |
