 Philanthropy Center

 

The East Central Illinois Philanthropy Center is a partnership between the Donors Forum and the Helen Matthes Library to meet the information needs of nonprofit organizations located in east central Illinois. Nonprofit, philanthropic and fund-raising groups may conveniently access research materials and attend workshops at the Helen Matthes Library in Effingham.

 

The East Central Illinois Philanthropy Center provides the following resources and services for nonprofit organizations located in east central Illinois:

 

-Books, magazines and databases to support research on philanthropic and fundraising topics.

-Professionally trained staff to assist with the use of these resources.

-Workshops and seminars on topics such as proposal writing, outcome evaluation, securing support from individuals and capital campaigns.

-Regularly scheduled free orientations to the resources of the East Central Illinois Philanthropy Center.

Philanthropic Database

 

The following database very useful for identifying grantmakers, developing prospect lists and researching specific funders. This database is only available for use in the Library.

 

Illinois Funding Source

-Donors Forum database of Illinois foundations and grants.

-Includes GrantSource and FunderSource.

-Available at any public Internet computer in the Library or by connecting to the Library WiFi.
