Barbara Grant, has always been interested in art of some sort, her mother taught her to appreciate handmade items. After moving to Illinois, she got excited to try a new form or art, hence the decision to give watercolors a try from a lady who taught private lessons. She took lessons from various artists in several different mediums.
Her passion has landed with colored pencils and watercolors. She loves the challenge of watercolors and the challenge it takes to get shading and depth with pencils. She enjoys doing animals and birds with a spattering of flowers thrown in. She has had one piece published in a colored pencil book by Kristy Kutch. She also does traditional quilting in her spare time.
Barbara Grant’s pieces consist of colored pencil and watercolors, and Wallace Grant’s displayed pieces are photography. Artwork will be on display until June 30.
