Library Announcements

Dear Effingham Public Library Community:

We are happy to announce that we are now taking requests for curbside pickup.

Step 1: Request items online or by phone and email

Step 2: Wait for call from library

Online requests are the fastest and easiest – we recommend that EPL Library Card-holders use the “My Library” search option to find books that are available for this service: Click to Search Here

We do anticipate phone lines being busy, so please leave a message if we cannot answer your call: 217-342-2464

Email is: info@effinghamlibrary.org

Registration for our Summer Read Challenge is now open and this summer it is even more important than ever that we help our community’s students avoid Summer Slide and a drop in their reading levels. Research has shown that daily reading will help to not only avoid this slide but can boost their academic achievement. Summer Read Registration Here.

Our digital resources continue to be accessible from the comfort of your home. You can access them all here. If you have questions related to upcoming visits, events, or your account, you can, as always, contact us by email at info@effinghamlibrary.org

The Library building still remains closed to the public until further notice. If you have items checked out, you can return them in the drop box outside the library or keep them at home. Due dates have been extended.

Thank you for your continued support.
