The Effingham Public Library is pleased to host artwork and an art demonstration by local artist Heather Westfall.  Heather will demonstrate her art during the SWAG Program, Thursday, June 2 at 10 a.m. in the Workman Room.

A graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Heather has a bachelor degree in fine art. Heather shares that “My primary focus has been landscapes in acrylics, oils, and watercolors.” For Heather growing up in the country outside Effingham helped develop a fascination with the beauty of nature at a young age.

Currently Heather is selling decorative acrylic paintings at Fresh Digs in Effingham. Her most recent work has centered on animal portraits and painting on and embellishing vintage fabrics.

Most recently, she has participated in the Artisan Fair by setting up her studio in Fresh Digs and painting so customers could see firsthand the painting process. Heather enjoys public painting demonstrations and plans to host more at Fresh Digs in the future. Heather’s work will be displayed until July 1, 2016.
