The Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library is pleased to showcase the holiday art work of local artist Whitney Ruger. Whitney Ruger’s work will be on display until January 5 , 2019.
This exhibition showcases Whitney’s whimsical holiday watercolors. Whitney Ruger is a self-taught watercolor artist living in Flora, Illinois.
Her work in watercolor takes a more modern approach with a clean, simple aesthetic, influenced by her time spent studying architecture and technical drawing.
Whitney’s subject matter reflects her love of all things vintage and holiday, and her finished pieces demonstrate her keen attention to even the smallest details.
Most recently, Whitney received both the Mayor’s Choice and 1st place 2-D Art awards at the 2018 Effingham Artisan Fair.
